Reel in massive wins with the fisherman wild & progressive jackpots
Everything you need to know about this underwater fishing adventure
The Fisherman symbol substitutes for all regular symbols to create winning combinations. During free spins, he becomes a prize collector—every Fisherman on screen catches all visible Fish prize values, which range from 20× to 500× your line bet. The same collection mechanic appears in Fishin' Frenzy Christmas, where Fisherman Wilds gather fish values across 5 reels and 10 paylines with an RTP of 93%.
Land 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols (the fishing boat against sunset) anywhere on the reels to trigger 10, 15, or 20 free games respectively. During this feature, Fish symbols display cash prizes that Fisherman Wilds collect for massive extra wins.
Randomly triggered during any spin, the Jackpot King feature offers three progressive prize tiers: the unlimited Jackpot King, the Regal Pot (must drop by $35,000), and the Royal Pot (must drop by $3,500). One spin could change everything. Fishin' Frenzy Even Bigger Fish Rapid Fire delivers five jackpot tiers instead, including Money Collect active on every base game spin across 4,096 ways to win.
Collect fish symbols during free spins to upgrade your fish values. As you accumulate catches, smaller fish transform into bigger ones with higher prize values—from 20× all the way up to 500× your line bet per fish collected. The original Fishin' Frenzy awards 20 free spins where the Fisherman Catch feature collects all visible fish prize values on each spin.
Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch Jackpot King stands out with its unique catch-and-collect system. Here's what makes this Blueprint Gaming slot a favourite among Canadian players:
The medium volatility and 96.12% RTP create a balanced experience. You'll see regular small to medium wins punctuated by significant bonus rounds when the Fisherman starts hauling in those prize fish. Players seeking higher volatility can explore Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch Rapid Fire slot, which delivers an RTP of up to 96% alongside frequent Rapid Fire Jackpot triggers.
While slots are games of chance, understanding the mechanics helps you maximize enjoyment and manage your bankroll:
Gambling should be entertaining. Set limits before you play and never chase losses. If you feel your gambling is becoming a problem, reach out to support services. Remember that slots are games of chance—the house always has an edge over time. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose, and never gamble under the influence or when emotionally distressed. The progressive jackpot feature triggers randomly during any spin, launching a mini-game where you collect crown symbols. Familiarise yourself with the three-tier structure—Royal Pot, Regal Pot, and the massive Jackpot King prize—so you know what you're chasing when the wheel appears.
With medium-high volatility and the jackpot mechanic layered on top, this game can swing dramatically. Set a session budget that allows for at least 100 spins at your chosen stake, giving the free spins and jackpot trigger enough room to land without exhausting your balance early.
The fisherman wild collects fish values only during the free spins bonus, not in regular play. Treat base game sessions as build-up rather than expecting big wins from standard spins—the real action happens when you land three or more scatters.
Blueprint offers multiple RTP settings for this title, and operators choose which version to deploy. Always verify the return-to-player percentage in the game rules or paytable before committing real money, as lower configurations significantly affect long-term value.
Absolutely brilliant addition to the series. Hit the Regal Pot during a free spins round at a partner casino and walked away with a four-figure win. The suspense when the Jackpot King wheel starts spinning is unmatched—everything a progressive slot should be.
Solid game but the jackpot feature is rare. Base play feels identical to the original Big Catch, which is fine, but I'd hoped for more frequent mini-game triggers. Still, when it hits, it's thrilling.
Decent enough, though I prefer the standard Big Catch without the progressive overlay. The RTP feels lower, and I've gone through long sessions without seeing the Jackpot King feature at all. Worth a try but not my go-to variant.
Total letdown.
Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch Jackpot King suits players who enjoy the original Big Catch formula but crave an extra layer of excitement through progressive prizes. The Jackpot King Deluxe integration adds genuine tension, and the three-tier structure means even smaller pots can deliver satisfying wins. If you're comfortable with medium-high volatility and appreciate the thrill of a random jackpot trigger alongside familiar free spins mechanics, this variant offers a compelling blend. It's particularly appealing to Canadian players who frequent partner casinos with Blueprint's progressive network, as the top prizes can climb to life-changing sums.
However, the dual volatility—both from the base game's fish-collecting mechanic and the jackpot overlay—means longer dry spells are common. The Jackpot King feature triggers randomly, so there's no skill or strategy to improve your chances, and the base RTP often sits lower than the standard Big Catch titles when the progressive contribution is factored in. Watch out for operators running reduced RTP configurations, and remember that progressive games carry an inherent house edge. Play responsibly, treat jackpots as rare bonuses rather than expected outcomes, and never wager more than you can afford to lose. This is 18+ entertainment, not a financial strategy.
The Jackpot King Deluxe feature activates randomly after any spin, regardless of your stake or the outcome of that spin. When triggered, you enter a mini-game where you spin reels to collect crown symbols, which fill a meter and determine whether you win the Royal Pot, Regal Pot, or advance to spin the Jackpot King Wheel for the top progressive prize.
No. The fisherman wild only collects cash values from fish symbols during the free spins bonus round, not in regular base game play. In standard spins, the fisherman acts as a simple wild substitute but doesn't gather any prizes from fish on the reels.
The RTP varies by operator, as Blueprint provides multiple configuration options for this title. Always check the paytable or game rules at your chosen licensed partner casino before playing, as the return-to-player percentage can differ significantly depending on which version the operator has deployed.
