Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch 3 slot underwater reels with fisherman character holding golden fish, fishing boat scatter symbol, and colorful fish with prize values on deep blue ocean background

What Makes This Catch Different

Not your standard fishing slot. The Big Catch 3 brings mechanics that actually change how the reels behave.

⚡

Power Play Mode

Flick the switch and card symbols vanish. Only fish with value tags, the fisherman wild, and scatter boat remain. Set your own Power Stake and chase fish-only spins. Blueprint Gaming's Fishin' Frenzy Even Bigger Fish 2 Rapid Fire also offers a 6-reel setup with 4096 ways to win where Cash Collect upgrades amplify fish-only spins.

🎣

Fisherman Collects Prizes

Every fisherman symbol that lands grabs the values from all fish visible on screen. More fishermen means more collection points in a single spin.

🐟

7-Tier Fish Upgrades

Collect 4 fish icons during free games and the smallest fish tier bumps up to the next size. Keep collecting, keep upgrading—fish grow from 2x to 50x your stake.

🪱

Worms Accumulator

Land the worms bucket and it stacks every fish value on screen before the fisherman collects. One worms symbol can multiply your haul massively.

🚤

Free Games Trigger

3, 4, or 5 fishing boat scatters award 10, 15, or 20 free spins. During free games, the fisherman acts as a wild and substitute for everything.

💰

Win Cap $500,000 AUD

Maximum single game win hits $500,000 AUD or x50,000 your total bet—whichever comes first. That's serious trophy fish territory.

How Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch 3 Actually Plays

Blueprint Gaming built this as the third iteration in the Big Catch series, and it shows in the polish. The 5x3 grid runs 10 fixed paylines, left to right only. Standard play includes all symbols—card ranks (10, J, Q, K, A), themed icons (pelican, fishing reel, life buoy, tackle box), and the scatter boat.

Power Play is where things shift. Toggle it on via the left-side button and you're playing fish-only reels. The game removes every card symbol, pelican, reel, and tackle box. What's left: fish in seven value tiers (2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x), the fisherman wild, and the scatter. You set a separate Power Stake for this mode—we've seen it range from $0.50 to $2,500 in the paytable.

In free games, triggered by 3+ scatters, the collection mechanic goes active. Any fisherman symbol that lands will collect the values displayed on fish symbols across all five reels. If a worms bucket appears first, it accumulates those fish values before the fisherman collects, effectively doubling or tripling what gets paid out depending on positioning. Fishin' Frenzy Even Bigger Catch extends this collection mechanic with Golden Fisherman symbols that apply x2–x10 multipliers to gathered Fish prizes during Free Spins.

Why Australian Players Rate This Slot

Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch 3 isn't a flashy high-volatility thriller—it's a mid-range fishing slot with a collection mechanic that can spike wins when multiple fishermen land during a bonus round. The Power Play mode gives you control: if you want pure fish action without waiting for free games, you can spin that way from the start.

The 95% RTP is transparent and consistent across both play modes. Blueprint didn't hide different RTP configs here. The max win ceiling at $500,000 or x50,000 bet is substantial for a 95% RTP slot, suggesting the top-tier fish combinations in free games with multiple collectors can hit hard.

Betfair operates this version with full in-game branding (visible on the tackle box and loading elements). The 10 paylines keep things simple—no 243 ways confusion, just classic line patterns you can track on the reel edges. Players seeking unique 4-reel Fortune Spins mode will find distinct reel mechanics with Golden Fisherman bonuses and fish prizes worth up to $50 each.

Tips for Playing Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch 3

Set a budget first

Most of the value sits in the Fish Collection Bonus, so base-game spins can feel quiet for a while. Decide your spend before you start, play only if you are 18+, and stop when it is gone.

Learn the fish values

Fish symbols only pay when a fisherman lands to collect them. Check the info screen for the value range before staking real money.

Use the demo first

The free demo shows how often the bonus arrives and how collection rounds play out. A few hundred spins tell you more than any review.

Confirm the RTP

The 95% RTP is a long-run average, not a promise for one session. Settings can vary by operator, so check the game info at your partner casino.

What players say

★★★★★

Landed the bonus on my third session and the fisherman kept collecting big fish across the spins. It paid well over my stake that night. I still set a limit, because most sessions since have been quieter, but the feature is good fun.

Sophie M. · Verified player1 September 2026

★★★★☆

Solid follow-up to the earlier games. The bonus could trigger more often, though.

Jack T. · Verified player7 September 2026

★★★☆☆

Fine for a short session, but the base game feels repetitive between bonuses.

★★☆☆☆

Too many empty bonuses.

Our Verdict on Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch 3

7.6out of 10
by Editorial team · Updated on 3 November 2026

It suits players who enjoy the Fishin' Frenzy formula and want the collection feature to carry the game. The free spins, where the fisherman scoops up fish values, are where it comes alive.

Watch out for long dry spells in the base game and bonuses that return little when the fisherman barely shows. At 95%, the RTP trails many modern pokies, and you should expect to lose over time, so keep stakes modest.

Pros
