During free games, every fisherman symbol catches all fish visible on the reels. Fish display value tags from 2x to 50x your stake. The more fishermen land, the bigger your total catch.
Collect four fish icons during free spins to upgrade your lowest-paying fish to the next tier and win extra free games. Progress from tiny 2x fish all the way to the 50x trophy fish.

The Big Catch 3 features a 5-reel, 3-row layout set against a stunning underwater ocean scene. The reels use alternating light and dark blue cells creating a checkerboard pattern, with a decorative fishing net hanging above the centre.
In standard play mode, you'll encounter both high-value themed symbols and low-value card symbols. The fisherman holding a golden fish is the top-paying regular symbol at 200x your stake for five of a kind. The pelican also pays 200x, while the vintage fishing reel pays 100x and the white life buoy pays 50x for a full line.
Card symbols (A, K, Q, J, 10) are rendered in glossy 3D bubble letters with distinct colours: golden yellow A, bright red K, green Q with a fish-tail flourish, medium blue J shaped like a fish hook, and purple 10. These pay between 5x and 10x for five matching symbols.
Toggle the Power Play button on the left side of the screen to enter this game-changing mode. A weathered wooden sign appears showing which symbols remain active. All card symbols and standard themed symbols are completely removed from the reels.
The fishing boat scatter bathed in sunset orange-pink glow triggers the main bonus. Three scatters award 10 free games, four award 15, and five award 20. The scatter pays at any position across the reels and clearly displays the word SCATTER in white text across the symbol.
During free spins, the fisherman transforms into a wild symbol that substitutes for all other symbols. More importantly, each fisherman on screen collects the cash values from every fish symbol visible anywhere on the reels. If three fishermen land with ten fish showing values between 2x and 50x, all ten fish values are collected three times over.

The yellow bucket overflowing with pink cartoon worms with googly eyes is one of the most innovative additions to The Big Catch 3. When the worms bucket lands during free games, it accumulates all fish values on screen before any fisherman symbols collect them.
This creates a multiplier effect. For example, if ten fish worth a combined 150x are on screen, the worms bucket first accumulates that 150x value, then any fisherman symbols collect both the original fish values and the accumulated total. This mechanic can lead to massive payouts when multiple fishermen and worms appear together.
A small fish icon appears when you collect fish during free games. Gather four of these collection icons to trigger an upgrade. Your lowest-paying fish tier permanently increases to the next level for the remainder of the feature, and you receive additional free spins.
The Big Catch 3 uses 10 fixed paylines that are always active. Payline numbers are displayed in coloured squares along both edges of the reel area. The lines include three horizontal lines across the top, middle, and bottom rows, plus seven patterns featuring V-shapes, inverted V-shapes, and zigzag formations.
All wins pay from left to right only, except scatter symbols which pay at any position. Only the highest win per payline is paid, but scatter wins are added to line wins. The maximum single game win is capped at £250,000 or x50000 your total bet, whichever comes first.
Both standard play and Power Play mode offer a 95% RTP, which represents long-term theoretical payback. The game exhibits medium to high volatility. The large circular spin button dominates the right side of the screen. Tap the autoplay icon in the bottom toolbar to select from 10, 25, 50, 75, or 100 automatic spins. Adjust your stake before entering Power Play mode using the dedicated controls on the wooden sign overlay.
Additional controls in the bottom toolbar include menu access for the paytable and settings, turbo mode to speed up spins, and sound toggle. The status bar displays your current stake, remaining credit balance, and time. On desktop, you can use the spacebar to initiate spins instead of clicking the spin button.
