Reel in massive wins with upgraded fish, wild fishermen and five progressive jackpots
5 or more fire symbols trigger the bonus
This latest Fishin' Frenzy instalment brings fish upgrades, wild fishermen and a brand new progressive jackpot system
Land 3 or more fishing boat scatters to trigger Free Spins. During the feature, fisherman symbols turn wild and pay a cash prize for every fish symbol in view on the same spin. Collect 4 fishermen to upgrade your smallest fish to the next size and win 5 extra spins. The fisherman collection mechanic also drives progression in Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch 2 Rapid Fire slot, where Blueprint Gaming awards 5 progressive jackpot tiers alongside a 2500x maximum win.
Keep collecting fishermen in Free Spins and you'll unlock The Big Catch. When activated, every fish symbol that lands in view is worth 50x your bet. That's the ultimate catch — transforming even the smallest fish into massive wins worth celebrating.
Activate Power Play at 5x your base bet to remove all standard symbols from the reels. Only Cash, Cashpots, Collect and Bonus symbols remain, dramatically increasing your chance of triggering a collect win or the Free Spins feature. High risk, higher reward.
This brand new jackpot mechanic is designed for high frequency, low value wins — bringing the jackpot experience to more players than ever. Land 5 or more fire overlay symbols in view to trigger the bonus where you can win instant cash prizes or one of five progressive pots.
Blueprint Gaming's Fishin' Frenzy franchise has earned its reputation as one of the UK's most beloved slot series, and this Rapid Fire edition elevates the formula with meaningful innovations. The core mechanic remains brilliantly simple: collect fisherman symbols to upgrade fish values and extend your Free Spins session. But the addition of Rapid Fire Jackpots transforms the base game experience.
Unlike traditional progressive systems that benefit only the lucky few, Rapid Fire Jackpots are engineered for frequent triggers and smaller wins. This means you'll see that jackpot bonus screen far more often than typical slots, keeping the excitement level high even during standard play. The five-tier structure — from Mini at around £175 to Mega King pushing £7,500 — offers realistic win potential without relying on one-in-a-million odds. Blueprint Gaming's earlier Fishin' Frenzy Even Bigger Catch Jackpot King pushes the progressive system further with a £250,000 maximum win and medium volatility suited to extended sessions.
Three scatter symbols depicting the fishing boat trigger the Free Spins round, where the true potential of this slot reveals itself. The fisherman character transforms into a wild symbol, but with a crucial twist: every fish symbol visible on the reels when a fisherman lands pays out its cash value instantly.
Fish come in four sizes, each worth progressively more. The smallest blue fish might award £10 at a £5 stake, but collect four fisherman symbols during your bonus session and that smallest fish upgrades to the next tier at £25. Keep collecting and you'll climb through £50 and £75 fish values. Reach the ultimate Big Catch level and every fish in view pays 50x your total bet.
This upgrade system creates genuine progression within a single bonus round. Early spins might feel modest, but as your fish values climb, the same reel layout delivers exponentially larger wins. Each fisherman collection also awards 5 additional spins, extending your opportunity to reach those premium fish tiers.
For players who embrace high volatility and want to force the action, Power Play mode costs 5x your standard bet but strips away all low-paying card symbols. Your reels now show only Cash values, Cashpot symbols, Collect symbols and the Free Spins scatter.
The mathematics are clear: you're paying five times more per spin but seeing scatter symbols appear far more frequently. Power Play is designed for shorter, more intense sessions where you're specifically hunting the Free Spins trigger. The minimum Power Play bet starts at £0.50 (compared to £0.10 standard) and scales up to £250 maximum.
This mode suits players who find standard play too slow or who have a specific bankroll earmarked for bonus hunting. The increased scatter frequency doesn't change the RTP, but it dramatically alters the gameplay rhythm and win distribution.
Blueprint Gaming offers this slot in three RTP configurations: 91%, 92%, and 94%, with each version receiving an additional percentage contribution from the Rapid Fire Jackpot system. UK-licensed casinos must display which version they're offering, so check the game's information screen before playing.
The 94% + RF version represents the optimal player return. At high volatility rated 4 out of 5, expect significant balance swings. You might endure 50-100 dead spins before hitting a meaningful win, but when Free Spins trigger with successful fisherman collections, wins can reach 50x to 100x your total bet per bonus round.
This volatility profile demands bankroll management. A sensible approach is 100-150x your chosen bet size as your session budget. At £1 per spin, that's £100-150 giving you adequate runway to reach bonus features without busting out prematurely.
The themed symbols carry the real value in this game. The fisherman serves as the key symbol, acting as a standard pay symbol in the base game but transforming into a wild during Free Spins. Three fishing boat scatters anywhere in view triggers 10 Free Spins initially. In Fishin' Frenzy Fortune Play, the Golden Fisherman collects all visible fish prizes up to £50 each during the free spins round across 10 paylines.
Fish symbols appear in four sizes — small blue fish, medium fish, large fish, and the ultimate Big Catch fish. Their cash values scale with your bet size and upgrade through fisherman collections. Shell symbols display random cash values collected when a fisherman wild is present.
The playing card symbols (10, J, Q, K, A) serve as lower-value filler in standard mode, rendered in golden 3D style with aquatic decorative flourishes. These disappear entirely in Power Play mode, replaced solely by premium symbols and cash values.
Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch Rapid Fire is purpose-built for UK players who enjoy the original Fishin' Frenzy series but want more frequent jackpot action. If you appreciate features with clear progression mechanics rather than purely random bonuses, the fish upgrade system delivers satisfying gameplay loops.
The Rapid Fire Jackpots make this version particularly suitable for players operating with modest bankrolls who still want that jackpot thrill. Traditional progressive slots require massive bets or extraordinary luck, but here you'll trigger jackpot bonuses at realistic frequency even at minimum stakes.
High volatility means this isn't ideal for casual players seeking long entertainment from small deposits. But for bonus hunters, Free Spins enthusiasts, and players comfortable with variance, this slot offers excellent designed volatility with multiple paths to significant wins.
The Rapid Fire mechanic triggers more frequently than standard free spins, but each round uses your base stake. Set a budget that accounts for multiple rapid-fire sequences in a single session, as the feature can trigger several times in quick succession when luck is on your side.
During Rapid Fire rounds, fisherman wilds collect all fish values on screen and apply multipliers. Position yourself to benefit from screens with multiple fish symbols before the feature ends. The multiplier can significantly boost your haul if timed well.
This variant sits at the higher end of the volatility spectrum compared to the original Big Catch. Expect longer dry spells between significant wins, but larger potential payouts when the Rapid Fire feature aligns. Adjust your session length and stake accordingly.
The base game can feel slow, as most meaningful action happens during Rapid Fire rounds. Resist the urge to increase stakes dramatically between features. Remember that RTP is calculated over millions of spins and the house edge applies throughout.
Proper rapid-fire action! Triggered the feature four times in twenty minutes at partner casino 2, and when the fisherman landed on a screen packed with fish, the multipliers were massive. Much faster pace than the original Big Catch. Still lost overall, but the entertainment value was spot on.
Enjoyed the quicker bonus rounds, though they don't always pay what you'd hope. Good fun if you've got the bankroll for the volatility.
Decent enough, but the base game drags and Rapid Fire rounds can fizzle out fast. Hit or miss.
Total letdown
Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch Rapid Fire suits players who enjoy Blueprint's fishing theme but crave faster-paced bonus action. The Rapid Fire mechanic delivers more frequent feature triggers than the standard Big Catch, though individual rounds tend to pay less. It's ideal for those with medium to larger bankrolls who can weather the higher volatility and appreciate the adrenaline of rapid-fire bonus sequences. Casual players may find the swings too aggressive for comfort.
Watch out for the base game, which offers limited entertainment between features. The Rapid Fire rounds themselves can end quickly if fisherman wilds don't land at opportune moments, leaving you with modest returns despite the excitement. This is strictly for those aged 18 and over, and responsible play is essential — the RTP is an average calculated over millions of spins, and most sessions will see you lose more than you wager. Set strict limits before you start.
Rapid Fire triggers more frequently than traditional free spins but typically awards fewer individual rounds per trigger. During each Rapid Fire sequence, fisherman wild symbols collect all visible fish values and apply multipliers, creating the potential for rapid consecutive wins within a single feature.
The Big Catch Rapid Fire sits at the higher end of the volatility scale within the Fishin' Frenzy series. Expect longer gaps between significant wins, but larger potential payouts when the feature aligns favourably. The original Fishin' Frenzy is considerably lower variance.
Most licensed partner casinos offer a demo version that lets you experience the Rapid Fire mechanic without wagering real money. The demo uses virtual credits and provides the same gameplay, though some operators may require registration to access it.
