How the Fishin' Frenzy Feature Actually Works
This isn't your standard slot. The golden net above the reels is central to the base game experience. Every time a fish symbol lands (there are seven different fish tiers), it's added to the net collection. On any spin, the net can randomly trigger, launching a "Pick a Fish" mini-game.
You'll reveal one of four modifiers: 10/15/20 Free Games (instant bonus trigger), Cash Collect (awards combined value of all fish in view), Cash Streak (respins the fish symbols before collecting), or Extra Fish (adds guaranteed fish symbols to the reels).
The Big Catch Upgrade System Explained
Once you trigger free games with 3+ scatter symbols, the mechanic shifts entirely. All fish display active price tags showing their monetary value: from 2x stake for the small blue fish up to 50x stake for the large golden fish.
When the fisherman Wild lands, it instantly collects every fish prize in view on that spin. But here's the clever bit: collect 4 Wilds during your free games and you trigger The Big Catch. Your lowest-paying fish upgrades to the next tier, and you're awarded 5 additional free spins. This can happen up to 3 times, progressively upgrading your entire fish set to the high-paying golden tier.
This can happen up to 3 times, progressively upgrading your entire fish set to the high-paying golden tier, whereas the Arctic-themed edition replaces the upgrade ladder with Pick a Fish modifiers that enhance collected values during free spins.
Can of Worms: The Accumulator Symbol
Exclusive to free games, the Can of Worms (a yellow tin overflowing with pink cartoon worms) acts as an accumulator. If it lands on the same spin as a Wild and fish symbols, it collects all fish prizes first, then the Wild collects the accumulated total plus any remaining fish. This can lead to significantly larger single-spin wins during the bonus round.
Additionally, worms symbols can form winning combinations with fish symbols on the paylines, adding another layer to your bonus potential.
Return to Player & Variance
Base RTP is 94.5%, with an additional 0.38% contributed by the Jackpot King progressive system and 0.11% held in reserve. This sits slightly below the industry average of 96%, but the jackpot potential and multi-level features offset this for players chasing big wins.
Maximum win is capped at x2000 your base stake. At a £1 bet, that's £2,000 from the base game, plus the potential for progressive jackpot wins on top. The game displays medium-to-high volatility, with wins clustered around the free games feature and upgrade mechanics.
