Blueprint Gaming's Prize Collection Pokie with Fisherman Trail & Pick A Fish Upgrades
During free games, every Fisherman symbol that lands collects cash values from all visible prize fish on screen. Fish carry values from 2x to 50x your total bet, with larger fish worth more. The Fisherman becomes a Wild symbol during free spins, substituting for all symbols while simultaneously collecting prizes. The Fishin' Frenzy Christmas slot maintains the same fisherman wild collector mechanic with Blueprint Gaming's festive twist, where prize fish carry values up to 50x across a 5x3 grid.
Select from swimming fish to reveal upgrades like +Fish, +Fisherman, +Collect, Re-Spin, or extra games.
Each Fisherman landing advances the trail, unlocking +10 free games with x2, x3, or x10 multipliers.
This Blueprint Gaming pokie takes the classic Fishin' Frenzy concept and supercharges it with a progression trail system. The base game features 5 reels, 3 rows, and 10 fixed paylines paying left to right. You'll spot familiar fishing symbols including the Life Preserver (up to 50x for five), the Fishing Rod (100x), and the Pelican (200x), alongside standard card symbols from 10 through Ace.
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols (the fishing boat at sunset) anywhere on screen awards 10, 15, or 20 free games respectively. Before your free spins begin, you enter the Pick A Fish bonus screen where you'll select one fish from a school of identical-looking swimmers. This reveals a random upgrade that enhances your entire free games session. Fishin' Frenzy Win Stepper Rapid Fire replaces scatter-triggered free games with a 3-reel Cash Collect system that awards bonus respins instead of traditional free spins.
Available upgrades include:
During free games, fish symbols appear on the reels with cash value tags attached. These values range from 2x to 50x your total bet, with fish size corresponding to value - the bigger the fish, the bigger the prize. When one or more Fisherman symbols land anywhere in view, they collect all visible fish values on that spin. Multiple Fishermen on screen means multiple collections of the same fish values, significantly boosting win potential.
The trail sits above the reels and features six positions alternating between "PICK A" fish selections and free games awards. Every time a Fisherman symbol lands during free spins, the trail advances one position. Reaching a PICK A position triggers another fish selection for an additional upgrade. Reaching a free games position awards +10 extra spins with an increasing multiplier: x2 at the first checkpoint, x3 at the second, and x10 at the final position. This creates massive win potential for players who can advance through the entire trail.
Australian players who prefer guaranteed bonus access can purchase direct entry to the free games feature. The Big Splash bonus buy costs 100x your selected bet level (adjustable with +/- controls) and guarantees immediate entry to free spins with the Pick A Fish upgrade selection. The bonus buy RTP remains at 95%, matching the base game. Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch does not offer a bonus buy feature, keeping free spins accessible only through scatter triggers with 96.12% RTP.
The Big Splash edition adds strategic depth to the Fishin' Frenzy series. The combination of collection mechanics, upgrade selections, and trail progression creates multiple paths to big wins. The 95% RTP sits at a fair level for feature-rich pokies, while the x4000 multiplier cap (or $250,000 maximum win) offers serious winning potential. The Pick A Fish feature adds an element of player choice and anticipation, while the trail system keeps free spins engaging as you work toward those high-multiplier checkpoints. Fishin' Frenzy Prize Lines takes a different structural approach with its 5x5 grid and 12-step prize ladder, where completing lines drives progression rather than multiplier trails.
Fishin' Frenzy The Big Splash accommodates players from $0.10 to $20.00 per spin across its 10 fixed paylines. The payline patterns include straight lines across all three rows, V-shapes, inverted Vs, and zigzag formations covering all standard winning combinations. Scatter symbols pay at any position regardless of paylines, with scatter wins added to line wins for combined payouts.

The free demo shows how often the free spins land and how the fisherman collects fish values. Use it to judge the pace before staking real money.
As in most of the series, the main potential sits in the free spins, so the base game can go quiet for a while. Set a session limit in advance and stick to it.
At 95% RTP the game returns less over time than many pokies, so smaller stakes buy more spins while you wait for the bonus. Bet limits vary by operator.
The x4000 maximum win is rare. Most sessions end well below it, and many end in a loss.
Played this at a licensed partner casino on small stakes and finally landed the free spins after a patient session. The fisherman turned up and collected a good run of fish values. Classic Fishin' Frenzy feel with a bit more punch.
Easy to follow and good fun. The bonus took a while to arrive but paid back most of my spend.
Fine, but very close to the other games in the series. Better as a demo.
Long dry spell, no bonus.
It suits players who enjoy the classic Fishin' Frenzy formula of scatters, free spins and fisherman collects, and who want a familiar take rather than something new. The x4000 maximum win gives the bonus round real upside.
Watch the RTP. At 95% it sits below many online pokies, and settings can vary by operator, so check the game info first. The game is for players aged 18+; play responsibly and only with money you can afford to lose.
The listed RTP is 95%, a long-term average over a very large number of spins. Individual sessions vary widely, and the figure can vary by operator.
The top win is x4000 your stake. It is a rare result that most players will never see.
